58MM & lingenfelter elbow to 1200 cfm Speedmaster 4150 TB
I just finished up installing this throttle body and its really nice for the price. I saw it on ebay 2 weeks ago for $160 so I had to try it. I knew this 436 ci motor was being slightly choked by the 58mm tb because the previous owner always had issues with it pulling vacuum at wot when there shouldnt be any. The throttle body is machined for IAC (LT1/LT4) so adapter harness is needed and the TPS is Ford style with 3 pin GM connector which all parts I got from Fast electronics. It comes with no bolts so off to the hardware store. I only needed to use 1 vacuum port and the other 2 were plugged. Pigtail for IAC is 308023, TPS 307005, IAC 307015. The two bolt holes for the IAC were the only part that was badly machined. Thank god this IAC uses an inside o ring because I only have 1 of the 2 screws mounted to the tb right now. The bolt holes are tiny and I had to find the tiny screw at the local hardware store, but the manufacturer didnt drill these holes even close to where the bolt holes line up from the IAC. left side looks like 1/4 to 3/8 and the right side was atleat 3/4" from the outside edge of IAC piston. I slotted the bolt hole ends on the IAC and got the right side to work and screwed it down. It works fine just like that but when I put on turbo kit I will drill and tap a bolt for the left side. Any questions or comments are welcome.
