My 99TA's side mirrors looked bad. Clear coat peeled off and paint weathered flat black. I was quoted $300 for a pro to repaint mirrors - which I think indicate the project wasn't something he wanted to fool with.
Picked up some scratch filling primer, black & clear coat. It was so bad it's not like I could make it look worse - I hope.
Replace the red can with GM Black Nasty driver side, 400 grit wet sand followed with 1500 grit and wiped clean. Nasty passenger side. Same process. Ghetto masking with plastic bags and masking tape. Light coat of primer. Two coats. Repeat
The primer sprayed very well for a rattle can after shaking for a minute. Two thin fine coats. Primer leveled nicely.
I had to touch-up a radiator support after trimming away some material for clearance to fit some aftermarket bulbs; not a cosmetic touch-up, more for corrosion resistance.
The Duplicolor matched the existing color perfectly (GM Code 382, Pewter Metallic).
