Selling a very nice condition '82-'84 Firebird cowl induction setup. The setup I have is for carb/tbi style induction (not crossfire). From what I understand, this is bolt-on for the '82-'92 cowl induction style hoods.

Parts I'm including...
-mesh hood screen
-cowl induction setup with electric solenoid
-air cleaner with the special cowl induction lid.

Reason for selling: I bought this for my 2nd gen Firebird thinking it would fit my Turbo hood but found out the hard way that it did not. I was informed by a 3rd gen parts supplier that it's a direct bolt-on but found out the 2nd gen hood bulge is actually much different than the 3rd gen. This is a rare setup and I'm not trying to cut it up.

This is a test run. Here are some pictures comparing the 2nd gen block plate to the 3rd gen screen and induction. I will get better pics later.

 

I know it’s been a while but here are some pictures of the air cleaner and induction scoop. I just got around to cleaning up this setup and wiping it down with some Armor All for pictures. Kind of hard to sell without pictures haha

 

I wish there was a way to set this up for a TPI motor.

 

What you could do is use a port injection manifold that uses a 4150 carb style throttle body. That would allow you to put this setup right on top. You壇 probably gain performance with the added air flow and tuning.

I have this listed at $250. I just checked the solenoid the other day and it works.

 

Price drop...$200 for the whole thing.

I can also do $100 for the hood scoop or $100 for the air cleaner if anyone wants them separate.

Asking price ain’t selling price. Hopefully someone makes an offer or buys soon. This ad has been up since July but I posted the updated pictures just now.

 

Just be patient. Eventually someone will come along and be glad to find one at a better price than Ebay.

 

I知 not selling a rusted out setup either. I took the time to clean everything up. I値l try wire wheel and paint pretty soon here. Hopefully that値l be what sells the air cleaner.

 

Someone will need it for a stock restoration just as they did when they bought my same setup. It will sell. Good luck with it.
