Hey guys long time. A few years ago I put a carbed 383 into a 91 RS. Now little older and bit more into comfort, I want to put the A/C back in the car. I have a GM service manual for the car and most, if not all the parts. I was skimming through the manual and read about an A/C cut-off relay. It stated that under certain conditions such as WOT or engine overheat that the ECM would disengage the A/C. Now that the car doesn't have the ECM how would this be controlled? Im sure there is plenty of you guys that kept the A/C. Any tips? Also, I have a pull out harness and vacuum lines. It has a relay, blower plug, pressure switch plug and resistor plug. There is also a single red wire female plug and a 3 wire, 4 hole flat female plug. Anybody know what these do or where they go? Also where are the connections for the compressor? Are they seperate from the harness that goes through the firewall? I would post a pic but I'm not too computer savvy. Hope this is in the right place. Thanks

 

Cars didn't have that for DECADES before TBI came about.

Single red wire = blower high speed feed; goes to a corresponding big red wire along the windshield cowl that ends right about above the pass side valve cover

Other plug = sounds like plugs into the control head

Compressor connections are a separate piece of harness but plug into that harness. Should be a green wire. Might be part of a connector that looks something like this except hopefully not as wasted as this one.
