Nice man! What kind of boost pressure has that developed at those rpms?

 

Thanks! So far with the 60/45 pulleys we have seen about 22psi of boost.

 

No major changes for this year, did add a wing to the back, not sure if I will make a difference in E.T on an 1/8 mile car. But the builder says it will make it a lot more stable.
Time will tell.
really just love the look of it, so either way I am good.

should help get things to hook and slow down.

still need to get over to the welder to finish the tabs on the rear anti roll bar.

now back to under the hood to build more horsepower lol

Updates to the nitrous lines.

 

Did you adjust the umi bar per their instructions? Just curious since I am adjusting this bar for the first track outing and wondering about the preload adjustment. Right now I have the bar neutraled and with just a slight amount of preload to the right side. This also made the scale weight the same on both rear tires.

 

Installing a sbc 421 (dyno'd at 686hp)

Before the end of the year I am buying a guardian nitrous plate from Inductions solutions and hoping to be well into the 9's or high 8's by the end of 2019

Nice, yea you better be deep in the 10s with almost 700 crank hp. I'm hoping to touch 10.90s with a measly 525-550hp crank long as I can knock off a good 1.48-1.50 60 foot. If you have the right gears, suspension, trans, exc you'll have no issue.

Yes I adjusted it just as umi instructed. It worked right for me. You can always find tune it once you make a pass. Have someone video your launch so you can slow mo watch it and see if you need more preload in one side or another.

I haven't updated this for a bit but right now I am building a QFT 1050cfm 4150 carb to put on the car.
Also after reviewing many logs I found that with the way the car was wired I was experiencing a .400-.480 delay from the release of the brake until the activation of the nitrous. This was due to the progressive taking that long to fire up and get its bearings and begin its cycle when powered up off the relay.

I am thinking this was a contributor to my "soft" 60 ft times. Averaged 1.39 60's but run out the back door right at 150mph, I am thinking this should really wake it up.

Trying to get all the bugs ironed out before going to the heads up race in july.



Also the car is getting a 10lb safecraft fire system. This will go far to put both my mind and my families at ease while having a fun day lol

 

 

You are very correct. With soft settings in the progressive to get it to hook those 10.5's it still went 1.33 to the 60 now that I have the delay gone.
