so thinking about chute release locations, types. I have seen a, what looks like a bolt on to the main hoop billet aluminum type.. but have not seen any thing like it for sale.... thinking of mounting it to the main hoop. right side of driver seat...
what are others set ups?
this one ya need to tig together..as the tube is not part of the kit (under $90)

this is the one I sent for..below..thinking of tign it to a steel clamp that clamps to my main hoop..so it sits out.just above your ear height. inline with the cable..just slightly lower then the main hoop between passenger/driver. to work it.. you would, move it forward to release..this was $99 shipped

I mounted that exact same one right in front of the dome light overhead. Easy in the drivers seat to reach up and pull it forward.

did run across a billet aluminum braket/clamp/handle...the one above is in hand...but the aluminum unit looks trick...sent a would like to buy tex..we will see if they will make another one...

TIGing the handle mount to that clamp would look nice and would allow you to reposition the handle if you don't like where you put it. Since I have a diagonal roof tube, I simply welded the bracket right to the tube.
Go high end. Mount a button on the steering wheel to release the chute

the guys who make the billet aluminum bracket don't seem to want to sell one anytime soon..maybe in a few weeks, they tell me....so until then.. I did the first plan..but just bolted it to the clamp... was slow at work...no welder there..lol (drill press and taps)

found a good deal on a Simpson chute in red... new under $386 shipped..summit was $429

I prefer the Stroud chute. Easy to pack. Smooth and soft deployment.

I've used both the stroud pulls smoothly the Simpson jerks. This can unsettle the chassis. With all that you spent man I would go for the nice stroud. You have to be pay attention to weight and speed also to size the chute accordingly.
ProStock chute works well for a full size car. #430

That's what I installed. Better to go a little overboard and not need it then to be on the other end of the spectrum

When I did my rear drum to disc brake conversion the stock parking brake cable system was removed but I still have my parking brake lever and stock floor console.
My plan was (if I ever got that fast to need a chute) to repurpose the parking brake lever to deploy the chute. I thought would be cool since the "brake" light would light up on the dash when I deployed the chute... One day maybe LOL
