Re: bolt in chute mount

You're going to have to make your own. Greezemonkey made one...check it out https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/fabr...g-spoiler.html

I made one similar, but haven't added the stand off for the chute mount or drilled the hole through the bumper. Rather than cut and bend the tube like greeze did, i made two stand offs and ran the long bar across them. If you want, I can try to take some pictures of it, but I would have to do some disassembly of my car. Just let me know.

Re: bolt in chute mount

id really appreciate it if it isnt too much trouble. i want mine to be able to keep the plate, and remove the chute and all. sounds like what you have done. does yours have a y at the end? one part for the chute stray and another for the chute pack to go into??? if so i can uses the rear part on the other pics for my mount

Re: bolt in chute mount

Wonder if the 4th gen version could fit? looks like it would mount in the same location as far as the bolts go. removeable would be key for a car that would drive on the street

The plates are 6.5" (across the top) and 6" across the bottom. The standoffs are 5" to the short side of the notch. When my car needs a chute, all I'll have to do it drill the hole in the bumper cover and add the portion for the chute mount. If you have any more questions, just let me know.

Re: bolt in chute mount

They really need to get back to making cars where you don't need to strip the car down just to change a light bulb. Third gens are terrible if you need to change a taillight bulb.

Re: bolt in chute mount

A friend of mine bought a bolt on trailer hitch and use that to mount the chute. It was a complete bolt on besides the welding the chute mount on the receiver.

Re: bolt in chute mount

Mine is only there for cosmetics. You can't push my car from the front or rear bumpers since there's nothing behind the plastic covers any more.

If you're really concerned about it, a small tubular structure can be fabricated but still won't offer any strength if the bumper is pushed.
