Hey guys....I'm looking for an A/C compressor bracket/mount with hardware for an 82 Trans Am with a 305 Carb engine. I have a similar part for a 1985 305 v8 but it does not fit. Will be willing to trade my part for yours, or purchase if your have it. Let me know. Thanks!

So thats a pic of my engine along with the bracket and mount I have for my carb 305. Maybe im missing something with the install but this mount came off an 85 TA with a 305. I figured it would have fit?

 

That top bracket doesn't look right. #1 in the diagram I posted. Maybe it's just the angle, but it should look like this....

 

 

Looks the same. Im going to give it another go in the morning to see if it fits.

Best I've got is the exploded diagram. One hole should line up with the stubby bracket on the intake, and the other with the head.

Another problem....when installing the brackets to the compressor, the front bracket was hitting the electric plug. Not sure if the compressor is incorrect or the brackets. The actual mount for the engine appears to be fine. Something is wrong though.

 

Anyone have a close up picture of their 82 AC compressor set up?
