IROC 5 speed for sale.. looks off
I thought this car sounded good upon first look, but closer look got me wondering..
https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/ct...674225015.html
-Black engine bay? Other 87 white IROCs have white engine bays
-Over polished runners
-Bumper cover fit is off
-Looks like repaint and no door moldings
-Potential repair radiator support from accident
-No mention of mileage which is strange
I mean, it’s a 5 speed G92 with nice leather and T-Tops and looks like a decent 10-20 footer with potential
so basically.. what’s wrong with this car thread..

Looks like rust proofing under the hood. No bodyside molding RPO on the SPID.

And don't forget operating a Marmot without a license, that's illegal too.
Looks decent, but it's pretty obvious some work has been done... JAF Kenmore White 305 Iroc... I'd swear we've done this car before too...

Now we know for sure that the T-Tops do not leak.
In almost every single case, I’ve discovered that usually, if a t-top car is outside in really heavy rain, they leak, at least a little.

yeah, It’s a little suspicious basing the price off the high retail Hagerty value which would probably be a mint, low mile car.. strange that miles aren’t listed
I will say both T-Top cars I owned didn’t leak at all except for going through a car wash or if water blew up into the corners of the window. One car was in a pretty bad collision and still didn’t leak after. Maybe I got lucky..

Never noticed mine leaking until I got caught in a flash flood at a show in July. It leaked a lil then.

One of the things that caught my eye was the nasty steering wheel...
I threw one away on my IROC that looked better than that.

I don't remember Rusty Jones and Ziebart doing engine bays like that. I see more something along the lines of POR15 plus what I would loosely defined as talent. Possibly in hiding rust. Possibly collision repairs.
