Local car here in town. He's had it a long time, cool cat too.
This car looks just like the ones they used in the pontiac promotional materials in 85/86. Not many had the WS6 rims at the time. Very photogenic version of the TA
Blue car I spotted at a shop. Went and looked at some parts and the guy owned the white 91 rs, the dark red iroc, and the black 86 iroc, also a very junky 86 not pictured, and many parts (hes selling the white rs and the dark red iroc)
Clean 91/92 Bird, Anne Arundel Community College campus, outside of Annapolis, MD
I go months without seeing any of these cars, then suddenly, two in the same day. Heat must bring 'em out.
Saw a few thirdgens recently. There is a blue Camaro that I've seen a few times over on the Port Hueneme Naval Base. I was able to get a few pics of a couple others that I saw.
This one was at the Ralph's in Camarillo on Las Posas & Poderosa. Briefly talked to the guy who owns it (he works there). He said it was an '89.
This one was parked in Thousand Oaks near the movie theater on Westlake & Thousand Oaks blvd.
I also have twice spotted a nice blue IROC with a cowl induction hood and white racing stripes cruising through town. I haven't been able to snap any pics yet, though.

Why do you feel the need to blur/white out the license plate for someone you don't even know, yet not blur out the Chevy in front of the Camaro?? Just seems funny to me.

Pulled into the development and this sports coupe is just sitting there. Farther up the block I see three people flailing their arms at me as they saw my trans am from the street. 3 air Force service members on their way back from rachet Friday at englishtown when the alternator went. Had the privilege to take them back to McGuire air Force Base tonight

Nice car, looks like a fresh resto or paint at least.
Locked it up and just about caused a pile up when I spotted this 91-92 sitting in front of a shop. Little scabby underneath, interior is tired beechwood leather, and who knows what they're doing to the motor. First other green one I've come across in person, and of course it's right after I sell mine.
Snuck a pic of this one in Hattiesburg Ms yesterday. Hardly ever see em in the wild down south.
I live i the south. Sort of. Hilton Head Island, SC, where there a lot of transplanted northerners, including myself. But it's not a tiny place, with 40,000 full time residents. The area just off the island is quickly growing, and we're not far from Savannah. So it's not exactly the middle of nowhere. You see a lot of older cars here, some expensive and exotic, but a lot of normal, older cars too. The income level here is pretty high, so people have disposable income to spend on cars. And the climate is great. You see a lot of regular old midsize cars here, like Accords and Luminas and Tauruses from the '80s and '90s that look almost showroom new.
BUT, I almost never see a 3rd gen on the road. In fact, I really couldn't tell you the last time I've seen another one on the road. There is a Camaro, kind of a perfect stereotype, sitting in front of a trailer home, but I've never seen it move. (I do see a handful of 4th gen cars around.) Just about every time I'm driving my GTA, I'll get admiring looks, thumbs up, horn greetings. It's pretty cool and I like having a car that stands out.
I know that 3rd gens really aren't rare. Go out to eBay or an old car buying site, and you can find a lot of nice ones. But they are getting pretty old.
Does anyone see many 3rd gens outside of a car show these days?
Man I don't even hardly see them at shows. Some shows I go to will have 250+ cars and I will be the only Thirdgen. If I do see another they are usually not in great shape. I know of 2-3 nice ones here in my hometown. Maybe that many broken down behind someones house.
