I am crushed my outer pipe is crushed. I cannot believe GM did that. But I have seen it on other GM's, like the CTS-V has a flattened pipe for ground clearance..

I think there's some truth to it for lower hp vs performance options, and and also maybe an improvement in product supply through the years

N10 optioned cars, LB9 5sp and 5.7L, had mandrel bent Y-pipes.
