Found something cool under the carpet in the rear. I was replacing the trim clips in the rear when I saw a piece of paper sticking out next to the spare tire. I gently pulled up the carpet and found this sheet that was attached to the body as it went down the assembly line.

My almost 20yr old daughter loved my IROC when it still had the automatic. She doesn't drive a stick and she's heartbroken. She wants a black IROC. I asked, "how about yellow?" Who would have thought that a young woman today would be wanting an almost 40yr old car?

My daughter can't go anywhere without someone stopping to talk to her, pointing, or pulling out their phone.
These IROCs are fantastic looking cars. I NEVER see one on the road here where I live. There is one clapped out third gen parked in a parking lot at an auto repair place. I think one of the mechanics owns it. I can easily see the interest from the masses when a nice example of one of these cars is out and about.
I just painted the engine bay of mine yesterday. What an ordeal in the 95F heat. Now that I've crossed that hump, it's time to start putting the car back together with it's new LS7/570 crate motor and Tremec T56 Magnum F.
I made my set of 4 wheel cribs about 5 years ago for my LS376/480 swapped Foxbody Mustang coupe. The cribs are so useful at any time but especially during a car build. You can get your car high off the ground and the cribs are very, very stable. It's no problem to leave a project car up on them for months at a time.
Jeff, you'll get a lot of use out of them. The negative part is they take up a good bit of room in the garage.

They sure do. I have them sitting on top of our deep freeze right now. We rarely use that thing so I think I'm going to sell it and just use that space for these cribs.
I was getting a code 53 for egr vacuum so I vacuum tested the original egr and it wouldn't hold. I replaced it and now the car is running better than ever. Now I just need to get the carb fine tuned and it should run great. I took it out for a drive to make sure the code 53 didn't come back on and had to video the epic sunset.
Jeff, really good news that the new EGR fixed your car right up. Good video of you enjoying your car.
My LS427/570, T56 Magnum F swapped IROC build has been giving me nothing but grief. I was hoping to have it on the road before our Texas weather turns really hot but that's not going to happen. Now, I'm shooting for having it ready for the 30th annual "Cruisin' the Coast", a 1-week long cruise in on the Mississippi Gulf Coast starting at the beginning of October.
