84 T/A White/Silver Unusual Factory Decals

I’ve had this 84 T/A for 4 years now, always wondered why I can’t seem to find my color scheme nor even the large “TRANS AM” door decals anywhere else on another car. Anyone have any information on how my car got those decals or the rarity of this spec? Dealer option maybe? Grant me some leeway seeing as this car is 22 years older than I am haha.

The only version that had the large “TRANS AM” style lettering on the doors were the 1984 15th Anniv. T/A cars. However, those had color matching white GFX on them, not silver.

Yeah it’s not that decal package, you can see from the link that other than the hood and B pillar decals the rest of mine are completely different from the 15th anniversary ones. I just have no clue how my car got these and not any others I can find. Exterior is 100% original on my T/A.

They were probably added by the previous owner/s or maybe even the selling dealer back in the day. It wasn’t factory stock or an “official” dealer package that I know of.

Looks like the standard '84 T/A graduated lines at the bottom. Somebody just took the "Trans Am" fender decal and had a large one made for the door. I personally love the graduated lines on those.

I believe an 84 would have a SPID label in the console, which calls out parts and trim. That could help answer the originality question.
