DiD they put pinstripes on camaros in 84
Hi I have an 84 camaro with 5 dark blue pinstripes on the side and 2 dark blue pinstripes going down the hood around the headlight and up the side of the car, and the match the interior, I just wanted to know if that came factory b/c I've never seen it on another camaro

My 84 had what has been described to me as a dealer-installed package. The car had "ZF" badges, wood paneled dash, pin striping (2) down the hood, striping down the length of the car, and a moonroof. Bear in mind this was a 2.8L as well, so nothing fancy.

No cars came from the factory with these pinstripings. They are all dealer installed. The ZF is an aftermarket deal. Pinstriping and fabric protection are two big money makers for dealers. They will charge $120 for pinstriping and it cost them $7 for materials and $10-$12/hour for install. Each car will take about 20 minutes. Fabric protection cost the dealer about $20-$30 and they sell it for hundreds. Easy dealer profit.
