Window fix vs door replacement

Which would be best?
the metal framework that raises/lowers my driver's side window (manual- no power anything!) is bent all to hell, so that I can't roll the window up while the door is closed, as it rubs against the door frame.
I initially thought the roller itself was bad, but after taking the door apart, I discovered that wasn't the case.
I was thinking that replacing the whole door might be best, if I can find one in no worse shape than my current one.
Otherwise, I have to tear the door down, take out the glass, find/fab a new framework, and then put it all back together again.
Or, switch doors.
Color means nothing to me, as she's due for a complete paint job at some point, and I can just switch the interior panels if needed (my interior's gray.)

Thoughts? Ideas? Ridicule? All welcome, and thanks in advance!
(This will be a post tax-return project, but I'm looking now.)

I'm also planning on doing a hinge replacement at the same time.

Thanks again!

since you plan on changing or upgrading the hindges, it would be best to get a new door with the inner framework already near perfect.
