Where you SHOULD take your transmission
I know that people have really talked well about Hughes Transmission and the guy seems to know his stuff without a doubt. Personally, I went with Circle D Transmissions over off of Hempstead highway. I spoke with Glen over there and he was very helpful, very personable, and very knowledgeable about trannies.
I understand my own personal limitations and realize that I'm not as knowledgeable about these things as I needed to be. Glen took the time to explain everything to me and understood perfectly what I wanted to get out of the transmission and where I wanted to head with it.
I definately got what I paid for. The service took a little while longer than what I would have liked, but in the end I have received exactly what I asked for and this transmission is so vastly superior from where it began that I had to crawl up under the car to see if it was even the same casing! In the end, I'd give 'em a 5 of 5 and definately recommend anybody who needed service to them!
These guys were willing to sit down and work up a couple of different prices with me, then figure out a way that I could get what I really wanted and still be able to afford it as well. Top notch job all the way around. If you are looking, definately check these folks out, they've been in business in Houston for 30 years and it shows!
