I'd think long and hard about the Scoggin-Dickey 357.....

Are you refering to part # SD360VTPI? Did you buy a SDPC engine? Do you like it?

I have been looking at crate engines and the SD360VTPI tops my list so far.

What are you looking to do? (Street driving, racing, a little of each?)
How much HP are you after?
What is your budget?

A rebuild is probably the cheapest and most risky way to go. Could be as little as $500.00

After that there are a lot of good crate engines available from Chevy. Starting at about $1100.

If you are after much more than about 350 HP, I would start to look at a custom built engine from a REPUTABLE builder. You could save a little money over a crate engine.

Yeah, if I could afford to plunk the cash down, that would be my first choice.

What ever you decide to do, make sure you put new injectors in it. I recommend the 24 # SVO's.

I can take care of the PROM / ECM tuning if you are interested.
