Tune up question

Hey guys and gals. Just need to ask a question becuase I really don't know. In looking at the sticker under the hood the OEM spark plug gap is .35 (I believe). What is the advantage of gapping the plugs to .60 ?? Would the gap setting have an effect on emissions? What do you all have your plugs gapped at?

Thanks

This is a question probably best asked on the appropiate tech board.

That's a bit much even if U do have an aftermarket ignition system (MSD box or equivalant). I know with an MSD, U usually CAN open up the gap a little more.

Maybe do a search on plug gap on the teck board and see what U find out--let us know!!!
