towing car to shop
towing car to shop
I got all the parts to fix my car and now I just need to get the car to my friends' shop....I have to tow it...I'm worried about getting it onto a flatbed with the nose being so long. But, it doesnt have GFX so maybe nothing will happen...for the tow truck drivers safety, he'd better hope nothing happens to that car.
Thanks for listening.

I know your post is a couple of weeks old...Hope it went OK.
The flatbed is on it's way to get my GTA. In the past (for my old RS), I used a 2" x 4" just in front of the flatbed ramp, to give to nose a 2" lift, and it cleared the ramp...JUST BARELY! I keep 2 pieces of 2" x 4" in my car, just in case. I don't need the nose folded back, being pulled on the flatbed.
If they show up with the standard sling tow truck, I tell them to go get a flatbed, or not bother to come back.

Flatbed is the only way to go on the GM Big Nosed cars. I had a 73' Covette with a healthy small block and everytime I broke a spindle the repair shop sent over a flatbed because they did not want to pay for the damages a reguler tow truck would have caused. The nose on the 92' Camaro is just as long.
