What should I do with it?

I got this 89 GTA because I needed a few parts off of it. I could total my 87, swap my engine/tranny & interior in, and be back on the road in what? A week? If I didn't screw around!

It has no engine, no tranny, and 90% of the interior is gone. Part of the dash is there, no gauges, but from there back...no carpet, no seats, no trim, came with the car. Although, I have been able to collect most of (if not all of) the side panel trim.

I could part it out, and do pretty good $-wise, or sell it as a rolling chassis whole, but it's doubtful I could get half as much $ whole, as parting it out.

Time isn't an issue, it could sit for years, and it wouldn't make any difference to me.

89 GTA

Should I part it out? Sell it whole? Clear, clean title..Or just keep it?

Why would you want to total your 87? It is in great condition. I sell sell the thing to someone else who needs some parts or a project or just give it to a junk yard.

I don't WANT to total my 87. I was just using that as an example, that the body is basically fine, to be a runner again.

"WANT to total my car..." Your funny!

Re: What should I do with it?

That 89 looks like a good candidate to have fun with (LS1, suspension, new interior, etc.). Somebody's got to be looking for a GTA shell in good shape.

Re: What should I do with it?

That was my initial thought. I can see no structual damage anywhere. The only body damage I now of, is the front driver's side fender was replaced by the guy I got the car from. He was slightly backed into a few months earlier, with no structual damage underneath.

I'd love to do that myself. Who knows? Maybe I'll come into a large sum of $$$, and can do that, while still having my 87 to drive.

Wanna race? Now...WHICH white GTA am I in right now? The high mileage L98 one, or the LS1 one? :8
