Hey guys I have the opportunity to buy a 90 RS for $1,500. Do you think this is a good deal? It's from a good friend, and the car is in good shape, just not an IROC, or T-Top car. It has power everything, and a rebuilt 305. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know of anyone in the area that has a 85-92 Z28 T-Top car for sale in pretty good condition (don't have the room for a complete tear down) I am starting to look for one. Thanks

I would honestly stay away from t-tops. they are much more trouble than its worth. when I got my car t-tops is all I wanted since my parents wouldn't let me have a conv. then. I've seriously taken them off maybe 5 times in the 6 years I've had the car now. even after replacing the weatherstripping they still don't seal right. if you're dead set on getting a car with t-tops, just be prepared to have to replace the weatherstipping and more than likely center t-top bar at some point.

xtreme: I don't have any pics of it. It's an alright car though. Just needs a little TLC to get it going.

TexasLT1: Thanks for the info. This car won't be a daily driver just a car to have fun with and cruise around in, and maybe take to shows. It would be garaged most of the time, so I'm not too worried about the tops leaking. I do appreciate the info though. I found a 92 conv., but my wife doesn't really want a conv. That and he is wanting 6,000 for it, and it is about a 4,000 car.

Yeah they are just hard to find around here in good shape, at a decent price. I'm not a patient person when it comes to wanting something. I want it now, don't want to have to wait for the right one. My wife really loves me when I get this way about a car!
