Re: The Woodlands/Spring

Mine used to be parked in Timberlane sub for 7 years, but I moved downtown a couple of years ago. There used to be a time when Kingwood, Humble, and Spring were litered with Camaro's and 'Birds but alas those times have faded into glorious memory. Keep your eyes open around 1960 between I-45 and AldineWestfield and you will still see a fair number of 3rd gen's in the day time but few of them make themselves known on this ORG, if they ever get off their cell phones for a change. Their loss!

Re: The Woodlands/Spring

If you want the fans to come on sooner, the cheapest way out is get a Hypertech or Jet cool fan switch from Summit. But yea, I could tune it for you as well...

Re: The Woodlands/Spring

One must wonder the percentage of F-bodies in TX with stock thermostats and fan temps. I'm guessing about 5% at the most.

Re: The Woodlands/Spring

I am down on 1960 near 45.. although I grew up on Rayford Rd. I don't drive my 'bird too much at the moment because I have to get it back on insurance and register it. I finally got an inspection sticker for it.
Hey 1badZ, can you do TBI proms too? I have some vortec heads in the garage (along with carb intake, and a Holley projection TBI unit and its adapter to a carb bolt pattern) I'm still looking for a cam to go with 'em... so I'm gonna need to do some tuning for sure.

Re: The Woodlands/Spring

I don't have the mask (definition file) to edit TBI .bin files, only TPI.
If it has 8 injectors, I can tune it though.....

Also, I noticed your avatar looks like you were at Spring creek in old town Spring.... I used to ride my 4-wheeler back there all the time.

Re: The Woodlands/Spring

Is that "mask" something that could be added on to whatever system you're using? Is that something that has to be bought or can it be downloaded? & speaking of 8 injectors (I'm about to **** everyone off now) I have a complete Ford 5.0 fuel injection setup in the garage. I've been thinking about drilling the carb vortec intake and figuring out how to use that system.. I have seen the ford injection system handle some serious upgrades with out all the reprogramming issues I have heard about GMs computers..

-------
& yea, that's Spring Creek.. If you used to ride out there I'm surprised you don't recognize my Bronco.. Its been out there for many many years.. I've had it for 14 now & it was there before that..
And for everyone in our area.. You should come out there this Saturday to watch our Mud Drags.. even if you don't think you would be into off road stuff. We have some serious race trucks running out there now.. Its a pretty awesome show.. & if I get more than a couple of yall to come I'll try to get yall reserved parking or something cheesey like that.. If interested I'll post more info..

Re: The Woodlands/Spring

I'm in Willis (one town north of Conroe) and work in The Woodlands. I rarely see thirdgens around (especially nice ones). Ya'll probably haven't seen my GTA up this area either - it currently is missing engine, transmission, exhaust, and fuel tank
