Re: Need a Transmission
R&R?
The transmission works fine from what I know.
Im swapping in a v6 and the trannys are not compatible so that leaves me with having to a get a new one.
My bad should have added that detail
EDIT: Swapping out the V6 for a v8

Crack open a summit or jegs, if you are willing to spend $1000 dollars for one, then it opens up some choices for you.
If you are like most of us, your dollars are precious, and you can get one for less than that. LKQ junkyards have 50% off on holidays, and you could get one dirt cheap from them, pay to have it rebuilt if necessary, and probably still be in it for less than 1k.

Re: Need a Transmission
So if i was to go to an lkq and find a thirdgen with a transmission, how can I tell if it is a good transmission?
Does it have to be from a thirdgen?
Thanks

Re: Need a Transmission
Also thinking I want to go with a carbed l31 and leaving it stock with the exception of a full exhaust.
It would be the cheapest way to get a good 350 and it would still leave me open to getting more HP out of it later on..
