Thanks for the complements. I joined the board to get ideas and maybe some help on a tiny problem I'm having. I recently rebulit the engine which is a 305TBI and since then the check engine light keeps coming on and reads code 43. I have had it at a shop and so for this is what as been done. A new knock sensor along with a new wire going to the sensor also a new control module all wires checked along with the connections. Also the Eletronic spark control sensor was changed out. It only seems to come on during acceleration and when this happens the computer retards the timing. I'm lost and so is the shop which as been very helpful maybe somebody as had this problem and solved it I HOPE.

I like the car and like the color -- I like the dark red. Wish I could help answer the question about the check engine light. Older cars that I have seen do this (not Chevy, but Ford & Mazda) has been an emissions issue and not anything that effects the performance of the car, but I'm no expert, so maybe someone here can decode your code.

P.S. Attached is the reason I like the color --> My 89 RS. I actually like your color better, what is it called?

Sweet car man! I had no idea your car was so beautiful!!! How many miles have you put on your motor since the rebuild? The reason I ask is because the rings may need time to seat properly and get broken in. That's the only logical explanation I could come up with on mine. Wait a minute, if your car was out for a long time, the fuel may be bad.

By the way mmej, there's gonna be a car show contest at the League City Park on Saturday. I *think* its from 8AM to 12 noon. They'll probably pass another flier out on Friday Night.

The color is the original that it came with from the factory which GM calls a Brilliant Red. The Picture makes it look a little darker than it really is.

Hey 92 the show is this Sat. I plan on being there.
