FS 1992 Camaro B4C / 1LE - $3500 (Round Rock)
Posting this for a fellow CMC racer ... Tell him I sent ya.
============================================
1992 Chevrolet Camaro with the B4C / 1LE package
This is a former Texas DPS car that has the rare B4C option package. This package is basically the GM Performance Racing 1LE package with air conditioning and on an RS trimmed chassis. The combination is basically the best you can get in the 3rd generation of Camaro. More info can be found here; http://www.vorshlag.com/policecars.php
The basics for this car:
'92 RS body package - 25th Anniversary Camaro, Z28 rear deck
305 cid engine
World Class T-5 5-speed manual transmission
1LE GM racing package: Uprated bushings, sway bars and springs. 12" PBR brakes, disk brake rear axle and a power steering cooler.
Blue exterior and brown cloth interior
Air conditioning
The previous owner had done a “tune up” of plugs and wires but then not been able to get it running well. So I bought this car in 2008 as “not running” but was able to drive it into my garage. The previous owner had included receipts for a new ECU and new GM knock sensors. It has sat since then as a project car but I never made the time to get to it. So it is time for it to find a new home and someone that will make better use of it.
I’ve noticed that the oil pan is bent, so I have a suspicion that the previous owner had jacked the car up by the oil pan, and after his “tune up” it threw codes for excessive knock, which caused him to go buy the ECU and knock sensor. When the car continued to have issues, he sold it to me when this was in fact the crank hitting the pan. I can't guarantee any of it. The buyer is welcomed to inspect the car. I do know that the engine ran rough when I drove it into the garage, so the engine is not "blown".
Mileage is 142770 and it has the typical bumps and bruises of a DPS car, including a broken right front ground effect panel. I don’t see any major chassis issues. I have clear title for the car. This is a complete and stock car. I will include a second complete set of Camaro 16x8 aluminum rims that I have left over from a previous project car.
I am asking $3500 firm for the car as is. If needed, I can help arrange to have it trailered to its new home assuming the distance is reasonable from Round Rock. If you think you might want help getting it trailered, let me know and we can work something out that is fair.
