to keep this thirdgen related, I was in Henderson KY, buying oil for an oil change when we was hit by an earthquake. 5.0 on the scale, some damage, no injuries reported yet. Powerlines down up the road from me and a few broke windows.

I bought Quakerstate 10W-30 and a K&N Gold filter.

Kentucky, near the mid. of United States(JACKO) eartquakes are kinda rare in these parts, got more coal mine blasts than quakes. It was a 5.0 on the richter.

 

I was over here in Owensboro rideing in the GTA when it hit. We didn't feel a thing. Guess the shocks absorbed it...

Do a search on stuff related to the New Madrid fault and earthquakes. Back in the 1800s there was a awesomely bad earthquake in that area - worse than what California gets!
