Thanks for the picks! He's a beaut! The bumper and dings are nothing. They can be fixed. Is there any mods?

They will be fixed after I get the engine done. There are no mods so far, but I'm thinking about taking out the all the computer shhh and putting a carb in, still have yet to decide, but will be redoing everything.

I bet that made a big difference, Mine is the "Pro/am" but those stickers are going to go when I get all the body work done, since the number plate is missing from the dash

What stickers do you have? The plate you are refering to is it the vin plate? I have never heard of the Pro/am.

I do love the performance gain on the Holley. I am guessing 10 horse, give or take. The computer is null and void. I have the electric choke.

from what I understand there were only 500 pro/am's made a year, and it was pretty much just a sticker package and some wood interior mods, they put a plate on the passanger side dash to tell what number the car was. I was checking the site for some more info, but there's not much to be found. The pro/am was all aftermarket made at a seperate place then where it was made, I forget where though. there is a pro am sticker on the doors and on the rear of the car: I'll email pictures of the stickers, nothing special though:lala:

That's very interesting! I can't wait to see them. I can't believe I have never heard of it. What else do you know about the Pro/Am?

going with the carb and no computer is mostlikely what I'm going to do, I hate dealing with all that plus I love it when you stomp on the gas and can hear/feel the second set of barrels open up

I saw the 87 Bandit III. AWESOME! I also saw a pic of the 4th gen Pro/am. I LOVE! When did they start building them? JoyBryan stated the Bandits where made by Choo Choo Customs. I thought it was T/A Specialties. I could have sworn they were!

I haven't been able to find out when the pro/am's were started or ended, but I found the bandit II was build between 87 and 97

I agree, the first time I drove it I was in love, then again, I didn't even drive it before I bought it, a friend of mine was selling it for his brother-in-law and I saw it, talked to the old lady and she said if you want it buy it, so the next day I gave him money and he drove it to my house.

another mod I plan on doing is putting a functional scoop on the hood, and getting rid of the "decrative" one

i wanted Arnie(84 Firebird) before I even entered the guys driveway! I bought him when i was 14. My dad tried talking me out of him, but I was hooked. I have never regreted it. He has the Iron Duke. Soon ( I Hope) he will have a 421 tri-pack. I hope it isn;t wishful thinking. They are hard to come by. Ta, my 84'T/a has a 305 H.O. with mods. He saved my ego in high school! LOL No one laughed at me anymore!

I just might! It was FUN though! I still have to replace the carb gasket. The Mr. Gasket studs are weak and striped. I went to go retorque them and they just kept turning! Where is ARP when you need 'em?!:sillylol:

I tried! Atleast I had her go look at a Sunfire!:lala: The ricers apparently don't know that a spoiler is obsolite on a front wheel drive! Then again if they were smart they wouldn't be driving such CRAP.

they just wish they had bought a 3rd gen so they could have a reason to put a spoiler on, so they put it on to pretend that's what it was:sillylol:
