I just picked up a nice 83 Daytona T/A, but it needs some Mechanical work. I'm a body man, not a grease monkey I am looking for a decent shop in the area to just get it back on the road. I'm not in a hurry, so an honest backyard mechanic is fine (a month or two is not a problem). Any help would be greatly appreciated. By just a quick look over it is missing all the belts, has a few(3-4) loose hoses, the power steer pump/reseviore? is off(feels to be locked up) and I was told the starter was bad. I will be having keys made for it next week. If you can get ahold of me today(friday) or tomarrow I can haul it to the shop Sat or Sun. I have to return the trailer Mon, but after that I can get a pretty good rate to tow it anywhere in the county (Houston)

you are real close to me i am off lake joy road the two shops that i would recomend are Callhon's automotive not sure if i spelled it right it is on Corder Rd and Roberts is the other one it is on watson just up the road from Firestone. If I wasnt leaving town for a few months i could help you out for some assistance with the body work I need to have done. Minor stuff. let me know if this helps you out. edit: i am in south bibb county but lived in Warner Robins for about 6 years so i am fairly familiar with the area, i come down 2-3 times a week.
