Possibly looking for new camaro...

Hey everyone, I was weighing the idea of getting a clean rolling chassis to stick my stuff in. I love my camaro to death, but I'm afraid rust may get the better end of things in the long run. My car is from up north, so the rear quarters have their fair share of bubbles and surface rust, etc. I painted the car last summer with my grandpa, and those problem areas are coming back to haunt me.

I love 87's, and i saw an 87 iroc in the junkyard a mile down the road. white, no rust, t tops and no drivetrain. negative side is that the passenger door had been hit by one of their heavy machery and was caved in, though it still opened. the car has no title either

maybe i should just get serious on the rust? or should i look into getting another late 80's camaro? I've got a lot of plans for her, and i can never make up my mind on what i want, lol.

what do the locals think?

well if i read this a month ago i could sold you a solid straight body with no rust, 85 iroc all the bodies are the same. if i was you i would find a body like you was saying. around here there are a few in the junkyards in great shape. id look in the trade times for one with a messed up motor or trans thats cheap. rust is a pain only way to really beat it is to cut out the bad and weld new. you definitely dont want a bondo car. as for that camaro its my buddies now. id try the trade times around here theres always 1 or 2 at least for 800 or less. always says something like needs motor work or trans. im around the bristol va area. theres a 3rd gen every mile it seems like around here.
