Fort Stewart, Im up for summit on saturday... then on monday the camaro goes to WI for deployment storage btw I was born in gainesville, I have grandparents who live on wolf pen gap, very nice roads up there.

 

Damnit Chris I'm going to miss wrenching on your car. We really gotta start build planning for mine now. And Frankenstein is going to need some TLC when we get back from the sand box. That car is going to blow people's minds. HEHEHE

sorry about the slow response. easter weekend and all tied me up. im working this weekend coming up but im all for getting together around the 21 or 22. im hoping i get the iroc sold sometime soon, so ill drive my rs. i havent been able to drive it since ive been working on the brakes here. it should be ready by then.

I have a 1988 camaro too, but mine's down probbly for the year. I broke the rear end last fall at the track, put another GM 10 bolt in it and broke it a week later.. So got to save up for a ford 9"

 

I have to work the weekend of the 21 and 22. I am off the weekend of the 28 and the 29. What is the deal in May, and what weekend is it?

Anyone got stopped by The Thunder yet? They rolled into savannah about round the first of april. To crackdown on I believe it was, DUI's, speeding, seatbelts, wreckless driving, so be on the lookout. Later all.

 

Athens here! Any of you guys want to share some info on where to get some used parts for my 86 IROC???

 

I would try your local scrap yards, or there is always e-bay. But I try to avoid e-bay, you have to take the persons word that the part is good. If there is no warranty, which was the case with most of the stuff I bought.

I've been doing the Summit cruise-in every Monday night at 6pm. No charge to show and a really nice bunch of cars. I'm am only one of a very few 3rd gens ever there, be nice to see more

 

Unholy89, how do you pass emissions without a cat? I always seem to have issues with my 91 RS and it has a cat! How are you doing it?

 

Tried it first with the hollowed out cat and failed by 1/100th of a %. Put new cat on and passed. Now its back on the shelf and will again be used next year for testing. I am planning on removing all my AIR components for the new motor. My headers aren't equipped with AIR pipes anyway. Hoping to get by What motor you running in the 91?

 

It's pretty much a bone stock LO3 but I have done quite few suspension upgrades. It had been sitting for about the last 3 years with a bad fuel pump. I started replacing it April '06 and came down with kidney stones so I had to stop. I picked back up on it this past March and finally finished it. I have just passed my emissions test and got it back on the road. I'm working on redoing my interior this year and then paint and motor next year. I had a 90 IROC that you see in my sig but I sold it this past March. Do you ever go to the Tanger Mall shows in Locust Grove?

 

Yeah, I've been to Tanger once. I like the Summit nights on Mondays, been there the last two weeks. Won't be there this week, be out of town. Theres only a couple of 3G's ever there. I've got a TBI intake and Throttle Body of a 92, came off the motor I'm rebuilding. Gonna keep my TPI on the new one. Where you at in McD, I'm only about 10 minutes from the speedway on the southside of Fayette. We'll have to get together sometime. I'm gonna get my motor done, then do the interior and paint. The car runs great now, I drove to FL a few months back with no issues. Also trying to find another 77 or 78 TA to rebuild

 

I am in the Lake Dow area of McDonough towards Covington. I going to try to make to Summit tonight to see what shows up at their show.

 

hey lets all meet somewhere in atlanta. we could have a cruise in at the varsity or something. it would be nice to see multiple thirdgens parked side by side!

 

That would be cool. The show at Summit is great. A lot of cars and just a good time. I'm in NJ this week and won't make it, but plan to next week

I would have to trailer into Summit. My car won't pass Henry County emmisions. I think I will go. I went once, when my car was still registered in Florida. It was the inaugural Monday Car Show sometime last year.
I think there was only 2 third gens there, including myself.

 

Gotta get there a little early to get a good spot. I'll probably get there are 5:45. Looking forward to seeing some fellow 3Gr's

 

Georgia emissions suck!!! I would rather just pay the extra $25 on my tag and go on about my business rather than pay for an emissions test. After all, it's MY car!

 

I only have to wait about four more years for my car to be exempt from emission testing. Besides I'm saving fuel and saving points on my drivers license. Until then...she will be trailered

 

I have thought about that too. I would like to just mod the crap out of it then.
