power windows

hello everyone in this region I am from the tampa area running a 92 rs v6. I just went to the junk yard today and found an ol maro with power windows so I took all the parts needed except for swithes (ebay) I was wonderin if any would help me put the motor and part that lifts the glass in the door they were a bitch to get out now I am terrified to put them in I would be grateful for any help thanks.

Are you going from manual to electric ?
Before anything, I would test the motors.. you may do all that work and find out the motors are junk... & undoing the motors while keeping the spring from taking your fingers off is a whole nother job...

I had a bad motor, I took out the motor and arm it was connected to and brought it to him with a new motor, $20 later, he had switched em out... I can dig up his number, he works doing car windows... Let me know...

the motors work I just need help putng in the electric lift part with the motor I have manual now and want to install the complete setup I got from the junk yard thanks

What part of Tampa? I could possibly help depending on how far away. Do you have necessary tools for this? There is a how-to on this procedure. If you go to the main page thirdgen.org and look in the tech articles section, I believe it's in there.

I live near usf. I have read the power windo article many times but do not understand how to seperate the regulatior from the roller bars so any help would be apreciated thanks

Have you tried it yet or looked further into it? If not what days are you available, i'll see if I can make it out that way and help any. Usually bored before and after work anyway.

yeah I foud a guy to put in the reagulatiors fo 50 a door does that seem fair

For the work to do it and money on tools as you'll spend, definately worth it.
