Hey, new to posting but been reading for a couple months. Just bought my 17 year old a 1989 Iroc-Z. We are having the front suspension replaced as well as the front struts and mounts. (I'm not a mechanic but I have a good friend who is). My son and I are tackling the interior. He wants all black with some red accent. Once thats done, my son is putting 18" rims and tires, then a quick alignment and it will be ready for the road. Heck, once its done I'll be ready for my own, kids....

 

Welcome aboard. Sounds like a fun project with your son. You can find a wealth of knowledge and great advice here. Also some great ideas. Post some pics of the car when you can.
Its funny, I bought my 91 for me and gave my son my truck to drive Ha!

Yeah, I've got a bunch of awesome info here. I will get some pics up here soon. Anyone going to Cricket and Cars at Central Broward Regional Park on Feb. 26th? I should have the car ready by then. My son wants to take it down there.
