Damn dude, that's awesome, especially on a college budget! It hurt me just buying a CD Deck for my car!

My dad helped me finance it. It comes out to around $230 a month with insurance. Since I don't really have any other expenses I can afford it.

Even though I am breaking it in and am not suppose to exceed ~7000 rpm it is so much fun to drive. Can’t wait to take it to its 15,000 rpm redline.

How old are you? I heard that insurance on those bikes are expensive as hell! So you pay 230 between the bike and the insurance? Dang that's good! Did you use a big down payment? Just wondering, sorry about all the questions! Eric

I am 19, but for the insurance we listed my dad as the primary driver so that cuts it down considerably. With him as the primary driver it ends up being around $350 a year for full coverage.

So are you listed as a part time driver?

Yeah, I am listed as a secondary driver. If I would have been the primary it would probably be 250 a month or something crazy like that.

sweet R6.. i just pick 1 up in june.. but i got the faster RED 1 j/k. love the bike.. if u want to ever go anywhere on a run.. ie prescott, flagg, payson.. let me know.

as far as insurace.. good luck. im 21.. to speeding tickets *in '00* and the only place i had luck was progressive.. and they wanted 450 a month. statefarm would insure me.. but for $350 a month, and my car had to already have been with them for 6 months. but thats if i put my camaro under them.. and im paying $94 a month for that.. but they wanted $150/mo.. well allstate, country, ect.. didnt want any peice of me either. so i didnt ride the bike.. well .. i rode it.. not legally though. but only like 5 times so far, but i did just pay off the bike, so now that there is no lean holder on it, so i called up AAA and for liability they want $500 a year. once the tickets get off the good old record, im going to put full coverage back on.

on the other hand.. a friend of mine just got a 02 f4i *same time i did* hes also 21, no tickets/accident, and through statefarm its 94 a month/full coverage.. but he also has his truck under them. so go fig. if u have a good clean record, stick with statefarm.. but call every damn agent u can, u will be surprised how many different qoutes u get.

edit:

what comapny do u go through? cause with AAA, they checked to c if my dad had a motocycle liscense.. and even with him it ended up being 900 a year *full coverage.. and hes 60 witha clean record his whole life*

The bike is insured under state farm. I don't have any tickets nor does my dad, so that is probably why my payments are so low.

aziroc.... this is my first street bike so I am still getting used to riding it. I have only put around 110 miles on it, so it may be a while before I take it on some winding roads. But when I do get pretty good with the bike I let you know.
