Tech content.. blah blah..
I can understand being tech-**** on the main tech boards, but can't the regional boards be a tad less tech related? Forming a get together for a BBQ has absolutely nothing to do with tech, so why can't someone ask about jobs in the area? Even is someone does bring up a question about TPI or something, couldn't it be said that the post should be moved to the TPI board?
Cmon guys, lighten up a little. When you don't have the cash to mod your car, are you supposed to just be silent on the boards here?

We ARE less tech related in the regional boards, in so far as we can arrange a bbq and not have it locked. There's still 3rd gen content in arranging a get-together, as we 3rd gen owners, want to get together and this is the only place we all go.
I spent 4 months last year without a job. I didn't post here looking for a job, because I agreed to the rules, that this was a tech only board, regional or not.
If I were to follow the rules "to the letter", that post, and this one, should have been (be) deleted for a lack of technical content. Because the post is in the regional board, you can still see the post, reply privately to BTS about that post and help a fellow 3rd gen owner out, if you can. The only thing is, I made it so that the post couldn't be replied to directly.
I have sympathy for BTS and his plight. The economy sucks and any help anyone can give him finding a job I'm all for it.
We don't post enough new topics in this board to make that post disappear from the front page for more than a month. If that is not a sufficient amount of time for it to be there, BTS let me know and I'll post a "ttt" and bring it back. It'll still be closed though.
I hate being the bad guy, and I don't go trolling for threads to lock. On more than one occasion I've put tech content into a thread to keep from locking it. BTS knew that it would be locked when he wrote it, but I left it alone to give everyone time to respond. That time had come and so I closed it.

No problem, and thanks for letting it go for awhile. I would have posted on azfba.com instead but at this point in time I'm not gonna send $20 off so I can post one message
I've been out of a job since December and as you said the economy sucks, so I'm glad you at least gave people the chance to see it incase anybody could help me out. Thanks guys, hopefully I'll find something soon. I didn't mean to cause any problems.

I too am once again without work. My wife and I were both laid off on the same day. With all the extra time I have now I've been working on my car. It's a P.I.T.A. something breaks on your car and you freak because you wonder if you can afford to fix it or have it fixed.
