Oct 31st SIR Midnight Madness Review

It sucked... badly.. for the most part.

The bad stuff:
Track was down at least twice for spill/debris cleanup..
Only a moderate attendance (70% for test&tune, emptied out about 30 mins after midnight madness started)
The slow cars reigned supreme..

The good stuff:
TWO imports got some seriously nice traction off the line.. and consequently stayed on the line as they snapped a half shaft. Once was funny.. two was hilarious
Couple 12 second T/As out.. running silent exhaust with an interesting whine from the engine (This was a hint.. I had to find them)
Couple GNs out...
First run of a freshly built 600CI Procharged full-drag.. err.. mustang.. but still, it ran a mid 11 at 12 PSI (built for 36), launching in second, and letting off before half-track... no license. oh well.
3 SRT4 neons.. I had no idea those things sucked so bad off the line. from the looks of it their 1st gear runs out at like 15.. ick.
2 MKIV Supras.. one blue one that was moving pretty quick, one green one which qualified as the slowest excuse for a MKIV Supra I've ever seen..

In my wanderings through the pits, I spied one of those T/As.. walked up to it.. .. noticed the badges were gold... walked a little faster.. noticed they said turbo.. heh.. noticed another T/A parked across from it.. .. more gold badges.. yes.. 2 TTAs.. I thought I was having an obscene night at this point, but, walked a little more, noticed another white T/A.. no badges.. oh well, prolly big modified motor, right? Nope. Walk around the front of it and there's *another* 3.8 staring me in the face.. and a lone TTA nose badge. 3?! I nearly died.. Plus 2 GNs.. so 5 rare 3.8 turbo cars running around the track. I had a feeling the cold air would draw out the turbo guys but this was rediculous... plus a turbocharged impala in that same pit, but I have no idea what was under the hood..

The debadged one was highly modified, and I swear I saw light under its front wheels all the way through first. But he only ran under midnight madness, so I've got no idea just how sickeningly fast it really was.

All in all, the 3 TTAs made my night. I went home quite happy. Definily made up for the relatively poor attendance.. too bad I didn't bring my camera.

those TTA's are always @ the track, and they always used to cruise speedway.

I was planning on going but ended up changing my mind, guess it was a good idea .
