yesterday i was replacing my rotors when i noticed a bit of a oil leak, so i checked the engine and everything, and i noticed the breather filter was soaked in oil.. as was the inside of the air filter pan. so i replaced the PCV valve, still no luck, tightened all the vacuum lines, still no luck, so i guess its a piston ring which means im screwed out of a car and being broke and 17 doesnt help much, i cant get a job cause no reliable car and i cant fix my car till i get money via a job.. so im like totally skrewed. i got a 350 block sitting int he garage im beginning to rebuild, its a bare block with nothing more than pistons rods cam and rollers. so, i need some help getting some ****. things im looking for in particular at the moment are:

L98 Heads
anything from 600-700CFM carb
any intake really, perferably a edelbrock performer
new gaskets
HEI distributor and all the wireing ****

let me know if you have anything i have listed or you feel i could use, email me with a price and i'll get back to ya, thanks

Have you tried cleaning out all of the vacuum lines+port between the PCV valve and the throttle body/carb? Those get gunked up pretty bad over the years.. I had to ream the PCV vacuum port on my throttle body out with the flat handle of one of those 2/99c ignition files from autozone... used a whole can of thottle body cleaner on it and never made a dent, physically demolishing the gunk slug was the only option..

id bet 1000$ its not a bad ring. for oil to be going out ur breather valve that bad youd have to ahve alot of blow by,and even then it would be coming out your dipstick alot first from all the pressure. and youd have a serious mis fire from the oil fouling the plug. pull the plugs and check em. is the car overfiller on oil by any chance, thatll make oil come out the dip stick and pcv
