Pomona
Just got back from a weekend in Pomona, CA for the huge swap meet they have every six weeks. My buddy and his Dad own a machine shop and go there oftern to sell stuff (engines, heads etc.). Really good turnout too considering it had rained there the last two times. This was the first visit for me and I will be going back on March 6th. A great place to pick up parts for cars. No racing going on just swap meet. Picked up a new LT1 motor that had been used for testing purposes.
Had a few hundred hours on it. Came complete with everything on it except the TB. Came with dizzy, water pump, wires, sensors, plugs, all new GM parts etc... Got it for 1350.00.
Had my bud and his Dad look it over and they tore it down to check it. Looked at the plugs, took manifold off, turned crank etc and it was clean as a whistle. Very happy with the buy. Other than that I didnt find anything this time for my car although there was plenty of stuff for thirdgens, just nothing I was looking for.
Was looking for 2210 hookers for me and a nitrous kit but didnt score on either. Then we decided to get aluminum heads for my car when I swap to carb this week instead of nitrous. That will have to wait until the next motor I build after this one.

I have a freind that's been trying to get me to go to that swap for the last 5 years. He would always come home with som sick parts that he got for unbelieveably cheap. Nice score on that LT1. Is it an early LT1 like what used to come in Corvette Stingrays or the later version?
Either way.. nice score
