Before and after tire pics...opinions plz

Well I got the tires today. Whether anyone likes the white letters out or not I am stuck with them for now until I eventually get new ones again. I kinda like the letters out. What do you guys think?

Personally, I think it looks more 80's style. I don't see many drag cars with white letters on em (except some Hoosier tires.)

The white letters are really starting to grow on me. I like them. It gives the car some flair like the Outlaw rims did. Besides that they are Indy 500 tires so that's at least an extra 50 horses right there.

and your car USED to be red before AZ hit it, thats an extra 500 hp there, if you put some yellow stickers on there, youd be at about a million rwhp...

Actually it was a horrible midnight blue color. Someone gave it a MAACO maroon paint job and that's why it faded like it did. Believe me I buffed it twice not too long after I owned it and tried a few other things. What you saw at the BBQ is as good as it gets for now. A lot of people will paint their cars before doing other things like mods and stuff. I have chosen to wait until last to paint it. The yellow stickers are coming though. I ordered a few from ebay...lol

The thing about looking good is how 'final' looking good is. I mean, with performance you can always go faster and drive yourself nuts thinking of all the mods you want and all that business, but looking at a beautiful jet-black paint job on a good clean car and washing it on a saturday morning with a coke or beer in your hand......NOTHING BEATS THAT!!

CaptPicard, on my '89 Firebird I got white letters on the side too. I'm not to crazy over it now, but back then I thought it was the **** and those pics reminded me of those years.

All right enough of my gooey I'm in love with 3rd gens post.

You know what beats that? Turning the final bolt on that power adder you just installed... driving a couple blocks away from your house and letting her rip.

Then if you want to beat *that*... drive it home, get your woman... toss her up on the hood... and wax it. The car, you perv.

I too like the white letters out but there is a fine line that needs to be followed with them. Certain cars just don't look right with it. Most black or even "darker" colored cars look good with it. I think it looks horrible on a white car. That's my opinion though.
