Firebird Friday?
Well, I found out I can't pass emissions so I have thirty days to correct it or no more streets....
I am definately going to Firebird Friday night....It would be cool to see some people from the board out there....
Anyways I am going...Would love to see some people there....
And on a side note....If anyone has a Helmet I can borrow (not that I will get under 14) But damn this car seems alot faster than my other 87 and it pulled 14.98.... Firebird has a new helmet rating so if you got one I can use it has to be
10. Helmets: Drivers of all vehicles running 13.99 or quicker, and ALL convertibles regardless of E.T., must wear an SFI-approved helmet with a Snell rating of 95 or newer. Passengers in convertibles running 14.00 and slower must also wear an approved helmet. (Note: DOT-only helmets are not permitted. SFI-approved helmets are not permitted if the Snell label inside the helmet is missing or illegible. In other words, a Snell-rating on the outside of the helmet is not good enough.)

Ok so Firebird didn't go over that Great....
1) Traction was terrible (but expected that)
2) Tranny could not handle motor. I had to completely let of the gas, push in the clutch, shift then punch the gas....And by no means be fast about doing it....
3) I had to start off the line like an old lady that doesn't have enough strength to push on the gas pedal.....then slowly give it gas and hope I don't break the loose the tires.
My worst time 17.43
best time 15.07
Anyone have a tranny that can handle power...and high torque 6000 RPM shifts without having to grind in to the next gear?

But hopefully after that I'll be running fairly consistently.
