The results of two Pick-A-Part runs...

Yesterday (Saturday) I went to the Ecology yard in Wilmington. I got 18 sway bar mount brackets for .75 each and made a discovery (news of that discovery to follow in a separate post). I also scored a broken hatch pull-down unit. It has a broken housing, but good parts (gear nut, motor, switches, etc.) to rebuild other units. I also scored some t-top door wedge plates (Bret and I both need them for out C&C t-top converted cars). I also found a Firebird with a good headlight motor and snagged a new looking gear for Bret. Today after racing I went to Ecology in Sfe Springs. I got another 15 brackets for .50 each. I got a complete 86 power hatch pull-down unit (rebuildable). Good housing, but I suspect the gear nut is stripped (the motor was disconnected). I also got 3 gray rear hatch trim screws for GPL (sorry I dropped the 4th). I also got a 5-point racing harness for $7.95. It is missing the latch that mounts it to the roll-bar, but I can likely get spare parts. I also scored the plastic trim surrounding the C&C t-tops including the trim pieces that finish off the headliner. I could have gotten the t-tops as well, but I already have a spare set, I'm just missing the trim pieces from them. Not a bad weekend.

good job Lon

Glad you found some good stuff. esp the hatch pull down. We need as many as you can get, an keep them in stock =) I still need to do repair work on mine again =/ ya think I need to grease it up good so it functions smoother. The darn thing just don't want to stay working.
