Is this power source good enough for seats?
Is this power source good enough for seats?
I just installed my carpet and some 4th gen leather seats into my car. Now to hook up the power seats. I have two wires sticking out of the power seats. I believe the brown is my ground so I'll just ground it. Now the red one, would it be okay if I just run it up to one of the power window wires? If I crimp it to the wire will everything work fine (seats and windows? Or how about to the power rear hatch? Which would be better? I figure I will do this tomorrow afternoon. Thanks

If you connect it to the power window switches, it'll only work when the key is on, like the window switches do now. I think you want to get power from an orange battery wire, so the seats work all the time.

Seat power
Definately to an orange wire that goes to a circuit breaker.
