Bought another camaro
Some of you will hate my choice but I bought this cause I didnt want to buy rice while fixing up the IROC. Don rebuilt my tranny and installed some susoension stuff along with my Cat Back and it was driving fine but much is needed. I recently installed installed some 4th gen leather seats along with a new carpet and it looked sweet but there is a lot to be done to it and I was able to get a good deal. So here it goes a picture of my sleeper. Picked it up last weekend.

You talking about me Russ?

Nice choice, is it because of mine?
When will we see it. Very
to see 3 black SS owened by thirdgen enthusiasts ('00, '01, '02). :lala: Tells us more about it ... or at least me.

MRZ28HO I am not familiar with this car nearly as I am with thirdgens. (where can I decode my build sheet?) I was looking at my buildsheet and I am still trying to figure it all out. I do know I have T-Tops (they rule!!!) a 12 cd changer, leather seats, I have the regular exhaust not the center exit one. Its and A4 and the engines sounds great at idle and when you accelarate. It handles really nice and it runs very smooth at any speed. The IROC seems to pull harder and feels like more of a beast off the line. The IROC is slower I am sure but it sure feels like it pulls harder when you tap it even lighly(torque???). This one handles way better, at first it felt too soft but when I realized how fast I was going on some turns it was not as bad. I would say this one is more tamed, the IROC is way louder
and I love that. I think its a lot lower too. The IROC suprises people who dont know a damn thing about cars cause they figure its old so therefore it slower than their Sentra "R". Where as the SS as davecamaro looks like a sneeky kitty. So people dont really try to be punks and cut in front of me. The SS gets more looks but thats cause its new and the general population tends to go on looks alone. The IROC needs some TLC and will look way better with new paint and things here and there. Still waiting for Lon to release that door hinge for my 88. I have driven the IROC around the neighborhood as to not forget my roots while I honeymoon with the SS.
I love my IROC although there are many out there telling me to get rid of it. i decided to put money into it before buying the SS because I didnt want to fall behind on the IROC. This one has better leg room..I actually dont have to pull the seat all the way to the rear.....I am only 6' tall...so that tells you that their is more room for you bigger guys.

Just for the record,I ended up with a 4th gen for a variety of different reasons, none of which really had anything to do with performance.
When I had my 409 Impala, believe me I used to hear about the Truck Motor/Boat Anchor, all the time.People will always have Opinions, good or bad.We all like what we drive and what else matters. I just wish I had more parking space,if you get my drift.
I think 3rd gens are going to become very popular once the rest of the world wakes up and smells the gear oil.
