Why me?

I drove my Dodge truck down to El Cajon yesterday to pick up an item for the shop I'd won on eBay. Yahoo maps works great, I got to the address and discovered it was at the end of a cul-de-sac. The driveway was a steep narrow one curving up to the house. I decided there was no way I'd try to drive my long truck up there. So I proceed to back up to park near the curb. CRUNCH! I'll pause here to remind everyone it has been exactly one week since I had my truck body repaired.

Back to the story: I pull forward and spot the problem. A pole. WTF?? I'm a full 3 feet from the curb! I get out and see a portable basketball board with a heavy plastic base holding this nice pole for me to hit. Roughly 2 feet in front of my last damage is a nice dent in the rear door where the side molding and the metal behind it is pushed in. I also see 3 small dents in the lower front door. Last time was $800+ of which I paid $500. I'm not looking forward to what this will cost. I guess I just can't catch a break.

Bummer to hear that.... Good luck with getting by on the cheap, I know how much just paint costs, let alone damage.

Can it possibly be fixed by "paintless dent removal?"

Not a chance. It is in an area where there is a heavy formed section in the steel panel. It also flaked off a big chunk of paint, roughly 1" wide. They will have to get into the door to repair it. Unless they can spot-weld on studs and pull it out. I'll let the experts tell me how and how much. Thanks for the thought though.
