Anyone ever heard of this timing order?

Car: 92 RS with B4C Package
Engine: 350 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 323
Anyone ever heard of this timing order?

I was looking in the Erson web sites looking for part # and ran accross one of there Chevy tech info and it had two fireing order the stock one I know 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and a race one 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2. Has any one ever herd of this race firing order?

Yah, I've heard of it. It switches 4 and 7 to combat the 5-7 problem.

I heard news on this recently as well- appears after 50+ years of the Chev V8, that engineers have dicovered more power with a different firing order.

Basically you need a new crankshaft and a new cam built to that firing order and thats it- the plug wires can be moved.
