Does the car have a TBI or TPI? Check the temp fan switch and check to see if the air deflector is still under the radiator.

What is meant by "everything done?" Did you clean out any debris between the condenser and radiator? 1 fan or 2? If 2, are both working? Are the fins clean in the radiator?

Regarding mechanics in So Cal, Don Lorentzen is the best. He's listed at the top of "Third Gen friendly companies" sticky.

Read the suggestions in this post:

Turning on the AC turns your fan on, which would cool it down. You probably need a lower temp fan switch to go with the lower temp thermostat. Also make sure the radiator is clean and there is no debris between it and the AC condensor.
