For the longest time now ive been trying to diagnose this "pinging problem". Anyway finnaly broke down and took it to a shop. Exaust leak. Says its the header gaskets and a small hole in another place.

So, before I go in to midas , what is a good price for work like this to be done? I figure i would be as much as a install on the headers , since they will have to take them off.

 

Whatever price would be reasonable, Midas will probably be double.

 

Persoanlly, I'd steer clear of Midas.

 

Try Champion Muffler. It is in Santa Maria just off Broadway, kind of behind Iverson Motors. Clint or Cliff is his name. He has done some small stuff for me. My neighbor(Super Mopar Man) goes to him also. Honest, reliable, fair priced. Jeff
