Hey Dwayne,
You might want to question Cindy. Triptophan is what is in turkey. If yours had tritaphane I think she's trying to poison you and collect on the life insurance.

Or is that just the wine affecting your typing skills?

I hope everyone had a great turkey day!

Well I'm still alive so it must have been the Triptophan.

All that wine and sleepy food put me in a daze. I probubly shouldn't have posted in that state.

I'll take advice of Spikoli "people on ludes ( or triptphan) should not drive (or post)"

Last week the question came up in my biochemistry class about why turkey causes sleepiness. The answer is that it doesn't. While it may contain a high amount of tryptophan (an amino acid precursor to serotonin), which can cause drowsiness and an elevated mood, it's more likely that all of the overeating of stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pie are what gives you a "food coma." Makes sense to me, since it happens when you eat a lot of something other than turkey

Hope everyone had a relaxing Thanksgiving. My favorite day this year - so far

this article sums it up. it must have been the alcohol making me sleepy.
