hey vincent congrats, i went to tell the guy i was grudging my friend behind me, and he was like no youre not youre grudging the camaro infront of you, i was like uh... ok. But yeah great run, I had a best of 14.1, actually two 14.1's

Maybe I got a couple number mixed up, my bad......but I thought it was 109.60 MPH???

 

Far be it from me to say that Vincent is a little slow to react.....but check out the hole shot that 14 sec. car put on him

I also want to give a big thanks to Don and Kevin for their support at Fontana last night. Like Julie said they could have spent the time with their cars but chose to go to the track with us to help with our cars.

Congratulations to Vincent for his 110 MPH run and 12.69 et. I can see Vincent easily hitting the 12.5's with a good hook up. Also to Dave Fisher for his 13.94 et which is excellent for his first time out and considering his mods. Julie did very well for her basically stock car and is becomming a very consistant driver.

I had two problems with my runs. One was the driver(hehehe) who could not get his act together consistantly and the other was the car going very lean above 4000RPM. So the tuning continues. However I did manage a new ET of 13.76. Also lots of rattling comming from one of my cats. Will have to get that changed out. One more mod to be done is to modify the governor to shift at 5600 or higher rpms. This will make it easier on the driver who can't do two things at once.

I had a very good time and enjoyed everyones company. Now to get ready for the January runs. ALLEN

 

Maybe some one else will be in the mix by January (MAYBE)...

 

Don't get your hopes up.....it will make it that much easier fot you to cope with defeat when I return with a vengeance next spring.....

My night was pretty uneventful.
I still have the same setup, basically stock. I borrowed Don's slicks to see what would happen. It was great to finally get some traction!
(My previous best was 14.59 @ 93 mph.)

Saturday I got a new time of 14.54 @ 92 mph, (I lifted at the end ) followed by a 14.56 @ 94 mph. The last run I left the car in drive instead of manually shifting as I'd done in the past, expecting a difference. Instead I got another 14.56 @ 94 mph!

 

Condgrads to every one.. awesome passes.. Sorry I could not race my car and join the fun.. But atleast I did my best to make it out there to see each of you You all did great..

I think Vincent had a very close 110 pass he is near the mark.. It's up to him to get that car out of the gate faster.. He needs that b/c that cam picked up at the end..

 

Next spring, huh. I thought you were going to wait untill you finished your schooling (You should be at least a doctor with all the schooling youve already had)

 

yeah that was awesome... it was my first time at the track and i must thank Don and Kevin for all their help, time, slicks, encouragement, and showing me the ropes..

13.94 @ 98.89 and i was pissing my pants all the way from staging area, down the track, and till the guy i was racing looked over at me when i passed him just before i hit 4th.

Awesome job Steve, it's been quite a while since someone has managed to shave that must time off their car between trips to the track very impressive. With the plans you have in the works it definitely looks like we will all have another 12 sec Thirdgen in the mix next season, but in your case you'll be doing it at 17!

 

Uh...he is already faster than both of you...as soon as he is able to put it to the ground he will be way quicker

 

Unfortunately Vincent has been saying the same thing for the last 15 years..........

 

On the other hand ....he has been getting quicker and faster each time out

 

True...but we all do...well, except for Kevin slowing down and I have plateu'd in the low 13s except for 2 runs in which the earth was in perfect alignment with Jupitor and I broke into the 12's.

 

Is that how I ran a 13.6 on street tires with the GP once.

I definately hook up much better on city streets than at the track.

 

Congrats to all and myself for the new times. I'm slowly moving up the ranks but I will make it to the top or be in the top 5. I know I can't beat everyone but it's fun trying to do so.

Better driving, reaction and getting the power to the ground will get the car into the low low 12's.

My best pass was 1.953 60ft 12.69@109.68. My ok pass was 2.12 60ft 12.83@110.52. My runs will improve by January 2005.

I know most of you wanted to see me run at the track.. But I want to be for sure ready when I do make that pass b/c I want to be like Dave and hit the numbers the 1st pass

Some coming already.. I'll get through this smog probably with flying colors.. And it's off to Driving School for me.. It's not going to be 12's next year b/c I already have the parts minus one thing.. To reach me hopefully in the Hi 11's I indeed have a Goal..

 

Goals are good, and BTW Branden I have a feeling that goal is quite common among many other members

Ok I'll let you all know my next soon Mod.. I bought a Gen6 Dfi plug adaptable.. It's going to wake things up a bit compared to my slow ecm.. How ever I have no problems with my Maf initial start up.. Then at Dyno if possible adjustments can be made right there..

 

Yeah I am looking forward to getting some modifictions done to the IROC as well, especially since I recently just stripped the SS

 

The next time some lucky person puts a holeshot better stay out in front:nono:
