Keith and I drove up to meet Ivan so I can buy his LT1 from him so I can use it in my Camaro (the 305 is going to the bottom of the Pacific!). Anyway, my streak of luck with buying things hasn't run out. Also, we solved the mystery of the snake skin on the engine:

i think the lizard is magic, we didn't see him when we pushed the engine in to the back of the truck and then we saw him when we stopped for some jack in the box. Then when we got the engine home we didn't see him or seen him since. My truck has a truck cap on it so unless it could open the back there is no way out.
