smog help
I just bought a zz 383 from jegs and i really dont think it will pass smog because there is no carb numbers except for my hooker headers and my superram. I bought a new edlebrock lower intake that just came out to fit the vortec heads so i could use the super ram intake. My question is, does anybody know someone to pass this car for me. I will be using all smog parts including cat. so it will appear emissions legal.

What is the cam?
Sounds like you still have the EGR system hooked up correct?
I would take it to a station and pay for just a test, if they ask you for a reason say that you are thinking of selling your car and just want a smog certificate to show prospective buyers. A brand new motor should burn clean especially if all the smog components are hooked up but I would say the major factors will be the cam and heads. What kind of chip are you running? - That's going to make a difference as well.

What heads are those, the Fast Burns? They dont have the EGR passages in them, so you'll need to make something like the Corvettes have, running from your headers.
